When content has been removed due to a copyright removal request and the uploader believes that it’s because of a mistake or misidentification, the uploader can submit a counter notification. This is a legal request for Google to reinstate the removed content. After receiving the counter notification, we will forward it to the party who submitted the original claim of copyright infringement and thereafter may reinstate the content, unless we receive a proof of legal action against the counter-notifier, within 10 business days.
Our legal troubleshooter, available for all products, is the simpliest way to ask Google to remove content or links which allegedly infringe copyright.
